Fake I.D’s Targeted Under Banned from One Banned from All Policy

by | Nov 6, 2026 | Business, Crime, Youth

Inverell and District Liquor Accord Consultative Committee have confirmed fake Id will now be included in the Barred from One Barred from All policy.

Local clubs have reported an increase in Fake I.D incidents and have moved to install a six-month ban to offenders after they turn 18.

Police advised licensees to also confiscate the False ID and hand it in to the Police noting using a false ID can also result in a license suspension, on-the-spot fine, and a possible court appearance with maximum penalty of $2,200.

Committee Chairperson Tim Palmer says clubs and pubs face serious consequences if they’re found to be providing alcohol to minors including a substantial fine and possible licence bans, hence why they’re taking precautions to ensure this does not happen.

Mr Palmer has warned anyone with fake I.Ds entering licenced premises in the Inverell district that they will face consequences.
