THE countdown is on for the 2025 Joeys Mini World Cup in Inverell, with six teams already signing up for the football event in October.
With last year’s event attracting more than 50 teams, organisers are aiming for an even larger contingent of teams this year with team nominations already received from Lismore, Coffs Harbour, Woolgoolga, Kempsey, Toowoomba and also Wodonga on the Murray River.

The tournament offers players 14 years and over the chance to travel and play on a football tour of Germany and this year, three stalwarts of German football, Jens Kiefer (pronounced Yens Kee-fer), Petra Hauser (pronounced How-ser), and Joerg Schemberg (pronounced Yerg Shem-berg)”, assisting with selecting players.
The 2025 Mini World Cup will be held 2-5 October 2025 at Inverell Sports Complex.
