Gwydir Shire Council has appointed its interim General Manager Leeah Daley to the permanent position following an extensive recruitment process, conducted in partnership with Local Government NSW Recruitment.
Shire Mayor Tiffany Galvin warmly welcome Leeah to this important leadership role saying she is highly community-minded, lives locally, and is actively involved in several community committees and organisations and has strong connection to the region and commitment to the people of Gwydir Shire, making her an excellent fit for the General Manager role.
Mayor Galvin says Gwydir Shire has been fortunate to benefit from a long-serving General Manager over the years, providing stability, strong leadership, and a clear strategic direction adding this con-tin-uity has played a significant role in the success and progress of the Shire.
Ms Daley has been serving as the interim Gwydir Shire General Manager after long serving General Manager Max Eastcott retired in July last year.
