Three teenagers involved in the fatal hit and run on Tuesday morning that claimed the life of a Narrabri motorcyclist near Gunnedah have been their bail refused after fronting Tamworth Children’s court yesterday.
The 14-year-old boys face a combined 25 charges after they were arrested following a joyride in an allegedly stolen Isuzu D-Max utility, allegedly taken from Moree, and involved in multiple police chases and the collision with the motorcycle on the Kamilaroi Hwy.
The three boys were eventually arrested after the vehicle lost control and crashed at Carroll.
One teenager, believed to have been the driver faces 15 charges, including negligent driving occasioning death, failing to stop after vehicle impact causing death and 3 counts of police pursuit while the other two boys face five charges.
The matters have been adjourned to the 17th of February at Tamworth and Moree Children’s Courts
