Inverell Shire Council have confirmed they’ve had discussions with regional airliner Fly Pelican about the prospects of introducing an Inverell to Sydney flight, but have been left disappointed.
Inverell Shire Council Mayor Kate Dight says unfortunately those talks with Fly Pelican didn’t amount to much.
It follows Link Airways decision last month to suspend their Inverell-Narrabri-Sydney service due to a drop in passenger numbers which Mayor Dight says is a huge problem because the service brings in many health professionals to town
Mayor Dight says Council will continue to fight to attain a Sydney service for Inverell.
