New England Police are once again reminding the community to not leave car keys in vehicles and lock their cars and homes at night following the theft of a holden commodore sedan yesterday morning.
Police say it’s undetermined how they keys were attained by the offenders with the likelihood being the keys were left in the car or were stolen from an unlocked house.
The vehicle was later recovered burnt out near Delungra.
Investigations are continuing.
The community are reminded to ensure their vehicles are locked when unattended and have their houses secured at night.
