Clontarf Communities Converge on Inverell

by | Feb 19, 2025 | Sport | 0 comments

Inverell High School will once again be hosting their annual Clontarf Academy Touch Football Carnival this morning at the Sports Complex.

A total of 130 students and their supervising staff from 10 Clontarf Academies from across the state, have travelled as far as the Central Coast and Newcastle and camped at Inverell High School grounds overnight in preparation for a big day of competition.

Inverell High School’s Clontarf Director Linden McGrady says the school is putting in two teams of year 9 and 10 students to challenge for the title.

Reigning champions Goondiwindi won’t be back this year to defend their title with Mr McGrady saying he’s looking forward to crowning a new champ.

Action kicks off at 8am with the final to be played around 1:30 this afternoon.
