Changes to parking conditions on Rivers St Inverell come into effect from today after Inverell Shire Council resolved to introduce the restrictions at their October 2024 meeting.
The restrictions along Rivers St, between Otho and Campbell St, include Council’s implementations of a 2 hr time-restricted parking in the indent car parking spaces on Rivers St, from 8am to 6pm Mon to Fri and 8.30 to 12 noon on Saturdays, and two designated accessible parking spaces to enhance access for patients, particularly those with mobility challenges.
Inverell Shire Mayor Kate Dight says Council recognises the unique role of healthcare facilities in our community and the importance of accessible parking for patients.
Council will monitor the impact of these changes and assess whether further adjustments are needed.
