A young boy sustained serious chest injuries after he was involved in a motorbike crash at the Inverell motorcross track on Saturday morning.
It’s believed just after 11am, the boy hit a jump and went over the handlebars whilst conducting basic bike training.
Paramedics treated the boy before being transferring him to Armidale where a decision was made to call the Westpac Rescue helicopter.
The boy was flown to Newcastle in a stable condition.
