Fire and Rescue NSW Inverell crews remain frustrated at spot fires that they believe have been deliberately lit in Borthwick St over the past month.
Their recent call outs were yesterday and Sunday where around 5 acres were burnt out.
Inverell brigade captain Robbie Wighton says in the past month, they’ve been called out to Borthwick St between 25 and 30 times to extinguish fires believed to have been deliberately lit by kids.
The public is encouraged to contact Triple zero immediately if they see an unattended fire or suspicious activity in the area.
