After receiving final approval from NSW Health, the fluoridation process of the Ashford water supply will commence in 2025.
Council had resolved back in 2007 to proceed with fluoridation of the Ashford water supply and in order to fluoridate the water supply there were a number of protocols required to be followed including the approval from the NSW Health.
Following numerous setbacks at the new fluoridation plant dating back several years, Council finally received approval from NSW Health in February this year.
Council advise notifications will be distributed to Ashford residents over the summer period with the intention of commencing the fluoridation of the water supply in the early months of next year.
