New England Police District is receiving six new Probationary Constables who will commence their duties next Monday 5th May with four to be based at Moree and two at Inverell.

Two of these 6 staff are Inverell locals who successfully completed the academic and practical elements at Goulburn Academy and have been posted back to New England with one to be stationed in Moree while the other will be back in Inverell.

Inspector with Inverell Police Blake Keating says any Inverell locals interested in a career with NSW Police Force are encouraged to make contact with the their Recruitment Branch and are reminded that starting salary for a Probationary Constable is approximately $81,000, with progressive pay scales each year, 6 weeks paid recreational leave, and numerous other incentives including access to low cost Police housing in rural and remote areas.
