Northern Tablelands MP Brendan Moylan has sent his condolences to the Armidale community following last weekend’s devastating accident which has claimed the lives of two people.
Mr Moylan says it was a really tough and awful weekend for a lot of really good people in Armidale with many grieving for a very long time to come, adding many will probably never really get over what has happened.
It follows an accident on Long Swamp Road on Saturday where a car and several cyclists collided, before the car continued and hit a tree with a man in his 60’s dying at the scene while the 30 year old female driver died yesterday.
Mr Moylan says everyone in Armidale community will of course look after each other but urged those affected to seek help and contact relevant services in the region.
He also thanked police, ambos and fire fighters who attended the accident scene and reminded the community to look after each other and take it easy on the roads.
