A young local woman is using her initiative to raise money for Breast Cancer groups this Sunday following news her aunt’s breast cancer diagnosis.
Paige Vickery will be challenging herself in attempting to run 58kms from Tingha to Bundarra as well as conducting a major raffle at the Commercial Hotel at Bundarra with funds raised to go to the Inverell Breast cancer Foundation.
Paige says the concept came about after her aunty Tania Swan was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, so she committed to running for her and everyone else who has been diagnosed or affected by breast cancer.
Tania, who has worked tireless over the years supporting community members in her role as a community nurse, says she was blown away at what her niece was doing in an effort to raise awareness about breast cancer.
Paige will start her run from Tingha at 2am with the hop she will reach Bundarra by 8am with a big afternoon planned at the Bundarra Pub from 3pm with a major raffle, face painting and live entertainment planned.
A separate link is available through the Tred & Trot for Tania Facebook Page to donate directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation
