The Inverell Chamber of Commerce & Industry in conjunction with the Commonwealth Bank will be holding a tomorrow evening.
The event will tackle scam issues following reports that nearly $135 million was lost to scams by the end of June 2024, with January 2024 reporting the biggest lost to scams at over $25 million.
The event will cover topics such as Updating Software, Enable Multi Factor authentication, backing up your data, fix your passwords, be wise to online phishing and scams that are about at the moment.
The Scam Awareness Event will take place at the Welder’s Dog from 6pm with bookings essential via the Trybooking website and is an opportunity to educate and prevent yourself from being a statistic.
