Investigations are underway into a grass fire at McIlveen Lookout last night.
Inverell Rural Fire Brigade crews were called to McIlveen Rd just after 7:30 to find the fire alight.
It took crews around 45 minutes to bring the fire under control and eventually extinguish it.
Scott Mack from the NSW Rural Fire Service says around half a hectare was burnt out and no properties were threatened during the blaze.
It’s unknown how the fire started.
