A first for Glen Innes Brigade and Northern Tablelands Rural Fire Service after members from Glen Innes Brigade were invited to Tamworth over the weekend to participate in a structural firefighting course.
Firefighters were put to the test with an intense 3 days of training.
Members learnt characteristics of compartment fires, offensive attack of compartment fires, and search and rescue.
The Service says this will ultimately provide an extra level of protection to the communities they protect.
