The Sapphire City Festival Committee have confirmed they’ll once again stage the Festival Fun Run next month.
Following a successful inaugural event last year, this will be the second staging of the Colour run at Varley Oval which will see an all ability obstacle course set up with non-toxic colour powder used to colour the community in fun and laughter.
Peter Caddey from the Festival Committee says the concept for the Colour Run stemmed from an idea of including a fun, all ability, low cost community event which could run for years to come.
Mr Caddey says they’ve secured the services of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Support Group to cook up a BBQ and raise funds at the same time.
The Festival Fun Run will be held on Friday 25th October commencing at 4pm with a Celebrity Run also scheduled on the evening kicking off at 6pm.
