Gwydir Shire Council successfully secured funding through the Vibrant Streets Program for Saturday’s Warialda Honey Festival.
The grant is a NSW Government initiative and a part of the guidelines requires a road closure to be in place for the duration of the event in order to receive the funding.
Council advises from 9am – 3pm this Saturday, parts of Holden and Hope Streets in Warialda will be closed in order to meet the guidelines of the program with event goers able to access the Warialda Recreation Grounds via the Warialda Showground entrance on Gwydir Highway near the Horse Stables and Sediment Ponds.
Seniors and those with limited mobility will be able to access parking around Jim Payne Oval via the designated Showgrounds access points.
