Tingha Tigers faint hopes of making the Group 19 Rugby League Finals Series took a hit on Saturday when they were knocked over by competition leaders Armidale Rams 46-16 at Bob Ward Oval.
The Tigers were sitting a game out of the top 4 and needed to win to keep their finals chances alive.
Meantime the Inverell Hawks piled on the points against bottom side Walcha Roos at Varley Oval to register a 58-18 win, Warialda held on against a determined Bingara Bullets outfit to win 32-26 while reigning premiers Narwan knocked over the Moree Boomerangs in a close tussle, winning 38-30.
In ladies League Tag results, Tingha hammered Armidale 60-0, Inverell defeated Walcha 28-0 while nothing could separate Narwan and Moree, finishing 18-all at fulltime.
And finally in the Under 18’s competition, Inverell overcame Warialda to win 28-26 while Glen Innes Magpies were too strong for Narwan winning 32-0
