Inverell trainer Todd Payne has confirmed his 8-year-old gelding Lisztomania will run in next month’s after being selected by slot winner Brendan Allen from Glenmore Park.
Payne says the horse pulled up well from it’s win at Rosehill last month and is looking forward to the race.
He says Lisztomania will be ready to fire in the Kosi adding he spoke with jockey Kerrin McEvoy yesterday morning who is brimming with confidence that the horse will run superbly again at the track he consistently performs well at.
The news comes hot on the heels of The Tatts Hotel Inverell again drawing a slot for the $2 million race for country trained horses to be run at Randwick on October 17.
It’s the third time in 4 years the syndicate has drawn a slot in the race and comes two years after they won a share of the $2 million when Far Too Easy won in 2024.
