The Inverell community is invited to attend community information sessions for the proposed Inverell Battery Energy Storage System this week.
The first will be held at The Inverell Club tomorrow afternoon between 3 and 7pm while the second session will be held at The Union café between 7 and 11am on Wednesday.
Renewable Project Developers South Energy state these sessions are a valuable opportunity for the community to ask questions, speak with technical specialists and provide their feedback which will assist the development with the Environmental Impact Statement.
The proposed storage system is a large-scale rechargeable battery that stores excess electricity and releases it back into the grid when needed to support a stable and reliable power supply.
