McLean Care have issued an update on changes that took effect on Monday which saw a majority of McLean Care’s Commonwealth Home Support Program and Support at Home clients transferred to new provider Australian Unity.
The majority of the Home and Community Services team were made redundant last month, and their final day was last Friday.
McLean Care advise there is a core team remaining with the organisation to wrap up and ensure a point of contact with Australian Unity adding some staff have applied for jobs with Australian Unity while others have found positions with other aged care providers.
McLean Care also confirmed they’re still in discussion with a few parties regarding the future ownership and operation of the residential aged care homes.
No decision has been made as yet, but McLean care is hopefully they’ll have an update or outcome in a few weeks.
