The Australian Demolition Derby family continue to rally behind the family of local driver Todd Cleal who passed away on Sunday.
A Go Fund Me page raised $4,000 within the first 24 hours of being set up and is now halfway to the goal of raising $14,000 for the family, showing the true reflection of how respected and loved Todd was by so many.
In a Facebook page, Australian Demolition Derby Association says let’s continue to rally behind Todd’s family the way their derby community always rallies behind its own adding they’ve lost one of the good ones, a passionate competitor, a loyal friend and a proud family man.
Todd’s sister Fallyn remembers him as a natural sportsman, representing Northwest in athletics four years in a row, played rugby league for Inverell, Bundarra and Ashford and even tried to follow in his father Rodney’s footsteps as a bull rider.
But Todd’s greatest passion and achievement was in the demolition derby circle which took him to the America recently to represent Australia.
