Inverell Shire Council is inviting community members to take part in a practical and informative Grant Writing Workshop, to be held at the Inverell Town Hall on Tuesday 28 April from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
The workshop will be conducted by “The Grants Guy”, Keith Whelan, who works extensively with Local Government NSW and is widely recognised for his expertise in helping organisations secure funding.
This hands‑on session is designed for Community Organisations, Non‑Government Organisations, Not‑For‑Profit groups and the Local Business community, seeking to strengthen their grant writing skills and improve their chances of success.
Participants will be guided through the full grant writing process, learning how to develop, refine and present strong project ideas.
The workshop will also provide invaluable insights and proven techniques for preparing competitive applications.

By the end of the session, participants will have a clear understanding of the grant writing process as well as knowledge of key principles that will support future applications.
Tea, coffee and a light supper will be provided.
