McLean Care is on the search for a new CEO after Sue Thomson advised she’ll be stepping away from her role this week due to health reasons.
The Board has appointed Jill Davidson, a highly experienced aged care leader, as Interim CEO.
In a statement to clients, McLean Board Chair Manual Meszaros thanked Ms Thomson for her 17 years of service and wished her the best as she focuses on her health.
Mr Meszaros says they understand this news may raise questions or concerns reiterating their priority remains the care and support of clients.
It was also revealed that McLean Care held virtual meetings regarding the future of the facility and their home care services.
The Board announced that McLean Care will begin a process to transition its services including Support at Home), Commonwealth Home Support Program, Veterans’ Home Care Program, and private home care services – to new providers.
The Board stated this decision has been made to ensure that essential aged care services in our region continue to be supported by providers with the financial resources to deliver care safely and sustainably into the future.
