A rider has died following a motorcycle crash in the state’s New England region overnight.
About 10pm (Sunday 11 January 2026), police received a report of a missing man last seen in the Armidale area.
Following inquiries, officers attached to New England Police District located the body of a rider – believed to be the missing 58-year-old man – at the intersection of Waterfall Way and Achill Road, Hill Grove.
Initial investigations indicate the rider left the roadway before crashing into a tree.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
