The Australian Koala Foundation are in Warialda today and the whole community is invited to meet the team behind Australia’s leading Koala conservation efforts.
Members of the Brisbane-based Foundation team will be in Warialda, connecting with the local retail and online team from the Save The Koala Shop and hosting a special community event.
The event will discuss the Australian Koala Foundation’s key initiatives — including the very important Koala Kiss Project, which aims to protect and connect vital Koala habitat across the Gwydir region.
Today’s Open Day will be held at Koala Quarters, formerly the Challenge Building, between 10am and 2pm at 2 Hall Street and will also involve a tree planting exercise.
The Australian Koala Foundation is the principal non-profit, non-government organisation dedicated to the effective management and conservation of the Koala and its habitat.
