Team Inverell will hit the road this morning, heading to Lake Cargelligo, to once again participate in the annual Scrapheap Adventure Ride, raising funds for Down Syndrome Australia.
Team member Brendan Campbell says the team has raised to date over $17,000 for this year’s ride with the team raising close $150,000 during their 14-year involvement.
Brendan says Team Inverell comprises of 20 members with 12 on bikes and the rest in support vehicles.
He says they’ll arrive at Lake Cargellico on Friday where the fun will begin followed on Saturday night by an auction where big money is expected to be raised.
