Bundarra High School’s Student Learning and Support Officer Paige Vickery and Inverell High School Captain Joshua Cathie have taken out awards at the Inverell Breakfast Toastmasters Club’s Communicator of the Year awards night at the RSM Club on Friday night.
Paige Vickery was named the Communicator of the Year for her effective communication with students and her inspirational event Tread for tania which saw Paige run 58 km to raise awareness of Breast cancer.
Josh Cathie continues to rack up the accolades after being named Youth Communicator of the Year with Josh described in his citation, as a confident, articulate, and compassionate young man whose communication skills reflect his personal strengths and inspire those around him.
Inverell Shire Mayor Kate Dight says they’ve watched Josh flourish as chair of Youth Council & Paige is a very popular influencer using running to tackle mental health.
