Several aged care facilities have fared well following the latest quarterly report from the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission.
In an item in the Daily Telegraph, Bingara’s Touriandi Lodge, Sunhaven Hostel in Ashford, Roseneath Aged Care Centre in Glen Innes, and Warialda’s Naroo Frail Aged Care Hostel were some of the 236 homes in NSW where 100% of residents surveyed said they would recommend their home ‘always’ or “most of the time’.
Bundarra’s Grace Munro Centre received an 88% approval but also received 12% non-recommendations while 77% of residents surveyed at Inverell’s McLean Care would recommend the facility but 23% wouldn’t.
The report also found that the number of complaints to the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission had risen to 1606 complaints between January and March this year up from 1413 for the same period last year.
