The NSW SES advises people in the parts of the Northern Tablelands to prepare for snow, fog, ice and frost.
There was a potential of snowfall down to 1000 metres overnight and into this morning for Guyra, Glen Innes, Uralla, Walcha and Armidale.
The SES advise weather conditions may result in deterioriating driving conditions, fallen trees and road closures and warned sightseeing may put people at risk.
Several motorists found themselves bogged or sliding off roads after heavy snow blanketed the region a few weeks ago.
Meantime, moderate to heavy rainfall forecast for tomorrow and Thursday has the potential to extend into the Northwest Slopes which may lead to minor to moderate flooding.
Flood warnings are already current for the Lower Namoi River and Barwon River.
