The NSW Department of Primary Industries is asking landholders and the community to provide feedback on the draft 2024-2028 Regional Strategic Pest Animal Management Plans for 11 regions across NSW.
The plans aim to reduce the social, environmental and financial impact of pest animals in NSW and inform landowners on how to prevent the spread of new invasive species.
The Northern Tablelands Regional Strategic Pest Animal Management Plan was developed through consultation with a range of stakeholders and covers 12 established pest animal species in the Northern Tablelands, including feral cat, goat, pig and deer as well as highlighting ‘alert species’ which are pests that have been detected elsewhere yet pose a significant risk to the community and industries in the Northern Tablelands.
Submissions, which are available on the haveyoursay.nsw.gov website, close on 8 July.
