Two 14-year-old boys have been arrested following an alleged break and enter in Armidale on Monday morning.
Police were called to a home on Donnelly Street, following reports of a break and enter just before 3am and were told a person had allegedly entered a bedroom and demanded keys, before leaving the property with another two people.
It’s alleged that personal items including cash, and a mobile phone were stolen.
Later that morning, a 14-year-old boy was arrested and taken to Armidale Police Station and charged with aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence and was refused bail to reappear before a children’s court on Tuesday 1 April next year.
A second 14-year-old attended Armidale Police Station earlier this week and will be dealt with under the Young Offenders Act.
Inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
