Two young people aged 13 and 12 have allegedly been involved in the theft of a motor vehicle from a dealership in Vivian Street.
Inverell Police responded and located the stolen vehicle on Byron Lane.
Police say the stolen vehicle failed to stop, and a police pursuit was initiated.
The stolen vehicle was involved in a collision with another vehicle at the intersection of Laurence and Henderson Streets.
NSW Ambulance and NSW Fire Brigade attended the scene to treat both young people and the occupants of the other motor vehicle but confirmed they did not sustain any significant injuries.
The 13 and 12-year-olds are currently in custody at Inverell Police Station where they are expected to be charged.
Bail is yet to be determined.
