Northern Tablelands Local Land Service and Angus Australia are conducting workshops next week on Estimated Breeding Values and Objective Bull Selection.
The quarterly workshops called Ladies in Livestock will assist in finding a bull that’s fit for purpose for breeding enterprises.
The free workshops will discuss the science behind EBV’s and how they impact genetic improvement, practical strategies for objective animal selection, how to interpret and apply EBV data and a real-world bull selection exercise.
Industry experts and genetic specialists will be on hand at workshops held between 9am and 12pm at ‘Inglebrae’ Tenterfield this Monday, Thornleigh Northor, Inverell next Wednesday and Bald Blair, Guyra next Thursday
