The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked to Inverell yesterday to transport a woman following a horse-riding accident.
Around 1pm, NSW Ambulance tasked the Westpac Rescue Helicopter to treat the woman in her 50s for head injuries sustained from the accident.
She was treated by paramedics and transported to Inverell Hospital to meet the helicopter’s critical medical team.
The patient was stabilised by a NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic and a NSW Health doctor before being airlifted to Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital in a serious condition.
