Emergency crews were called to an accident in Inverell this morning involving a pedestrian and a car.

NSW Fire and Rescue spokesperson says it’s believed a car hit a woman at the corner of Bannockburn Rd and Urabatta St, forcing the closure of Bannockburn Rd.

NSW Ambulance responded to a report of an accident at around 8:15 this morning and treated a woman, aged in her 80’s, for head injuries.

The woman was taken to Inverell Hospital and her condition is unknown
