The Walcha Roos have decided to withdraw from the Group 19 first grade competition.
Their future had been up in the air following big losses to start the season with Saturday being the final straw after pulling out of their game against the Tingha Tigers.
Meanwhile, on the field the Inverell Hawks jumped out to a big lead in the first half against the Moree Boomerangs before things turned spiteful in the last 40 minutes.
1st Grade coach Jamie McCormack says it was a great win for his side, getting out to a 30-10 half time lead before discipline was thrown out the door.
He says he’s proud his team were able to keep their discipline and go onto win 42-28.
In other games, Glen Innes scrapped through against Uralla 22-18, while Guyra outlasted Warialda in a nailbiter 32-30
