Phone company Vodaphone are set to expand their footprint across the New England next year.
The Northern Daily Leader reports the network expansion will switch on in early 2025 and will triple the number of mobile sites Vodafone has in regional Australia, with the New England set to receive an additional 47 mobile sites.
Vodafone Group Executive, Consumer, Kieren Cooney, says they’re breaking the mobile duopoly that has limited customer choice in regional Australia for too long adding the move is a game changer.
The Inverell to Tenterfield region is set to have an additional 16 sites and once the network goes live in early 2025, customers will have immediate access to 5G where it is available.
