Virus Cases Dropping following latest NSW Respiratory Surveillance Report

The latest NSW respiratory surveillance report has been released with levels of illnesses dropping.

The report, for week ending 17th August, details COVID-19 activity is stable at a low level while Influenza activity has declined and is at a moderate level of activity.

Test positivity for influenza, which is a key indicator of activity, has decreased to 9.7%.

NSW Health state as influenza is still circulating, it is still important people get their flu vaccination if they’re at a higher risk of severe illness.

Whooping cough activity continues to increase in school aged children.​
