A Vietnam Veterans commemoration will be held at Vietnam Veterans Memorial this Sunday starting at 4:30.
On 18 August, Australian’s commemorate Vietnam Veterans’ Day on the anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan in 196 and remember the sacrifices of those who died and say thank you to almost 60,000 Australians who served during the 10 years of Australian involvement in the Vietnam War.
A short address to commemorate Victory in the Pacific will be conducted at the Inverell War Memorial at the conclusion of the Vietnam Veterans Commemoration.
All RSL members are encouraged to attend wearing jackets and medals while members of the Inverell and surrounding district are also invited to attend the commemoration.
