Another act of vandalism has occurred in a local park overnight forcing the closure of Arthur St Park in Inverell.

Offenders have damaged the several fence panels that enclosed the playground equipment, forcing Inverell Shire Council to close the park this morning.

Council apologises for any inconvenience and request anyone who may have any information relating to the damage, please contact Inverell Police.

Earlier this year, toilets in Sinclair Park were the target of vandals while other damage was caused in Arthur St Park.
