Investigations are continuing into a house fire in south Inverell last night which completely destroyed the premises.

NSW Police and Fire and Rescue NSW crews attended a Wynne St home at around 6:30pm to find the house alight.

Police say the residence was an unoccupied home and no injuries were reported.

Forensic police will today examine the scene with New England police detectives conducting further investigations and canvassing the area today to find out how the blaze started.
