Motorists heading towards Grafton are being advised the Gwydir Hwy is closed due to a truck fire this morning.
The highway is closed in both directions at Jackadgery and motorists are asked to avoid the area.
Traffic in both directions is diverted via Summerland Way, Coaldale Road, Plains Station Road, Bruxner Highway to Tenterfield and New England Highway to Glen Innes.
Motorists are advised to allow for extra travel time
