Former local radio personality Pete Diskon has passed away from heart ailments after a brief period in palliative care.
Mr Diskon , or Disko as he was known, died surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday at the age of 75.
Disko had two stints at 2NZ in the 90s and 2000’s and worked around NSW, QLD and Tasmania before he volunteered his time at 2EAR and Braidwood’s 88.9FM where he was presenter, mentor, trainer, board member.
Disko also provided training for STA FM a few years ago which was very much appreciated by the announcers at the time.
The popular presenter was also a founding member of the Inverell Saints Football Club
He also had a taste for local government and was elected as a councillor for Eurobodalla Shire in 2022.
