Racing in the north today centres on the Inverell Jockey Club’s 7-race TAB program.

The Jockey club received notification from Racing NSW earlier in the week that they had been awarded another race meeting after the Armidale track was deemed unsafe to race following recent rain.

74 acceptances have been received for the meeting with local trainer Ridge Wilson having a couple of runners going around today with Libby and Meddlesome while Glen Innes trainer Paddy Cunningham will bring Wokou and Bonfidelity to the meeting.

Overcast conditions are expected today in Inverell with the track rated as a soft 6.

The first race kicks off at 12:50pm.
