The Inverell Show kicks off today with exciting new rides, massive pavilion exhibits, and hot competition in the main show ring.

Campdrafting, yard dog trials and show jumping events kick off today with the official opening taking place at 7pm with Bukkulla farmer and finalist in the NSW 2025 Royal Agriculture Society’s Rural Achiever Award James Gilmour opening the show followed by the popular Rodeo.

Inverell Show Society President Jodie Burtenshaw says five ladies have entered the Inverell Show Society’s’ Young Woman of the Year 2026 with Mariah Williams, Bella Thompson, Holly White, Bella O’Brien and Piper Cribb competing in the competition with the crowning to be held at this evening’s ceremony.

Mr Burtenshaw says Saturday’s program is jammed packed with the woodchop and shearing competitions kicking off tomorrow morning, demonstrations from Cowgirls with Wings, the Dog High Jump, entertainment from Rooftop Express, the fireworks display and finally the Demolition Derby.
