Inverell Breakfast Toastmasters celebrated the 100th anniversary of Toastmaster International on Friday with their annual Communicator and Youth Communicator of the year Awards evening.
The Communicator of the Year Award went to Leesey Salvatore for her work establishing a support social media page during the covid period as well as being the administrator for the Inverell and Surrounds Crime Facebook page.
President of the Inverell Breakfast Toastmasters David Madigan says it was almost an impossible task to select the Youth Communicator of the Year which was contested by 8 applicants.
He says eventually they eventually managed to settle for an Ashford Central School student with Lexi Martinez taking out the coveted award.
