Teenager’s Mission to Raise Awareness about Soil Health

by | Apr 3, 2025 | Agriculture | 0 comments

An Indian man on a mission to raise awareness about soil degradation will be arriving in the region next week.

19-year-old Sahil is currently on his 20,000 km bicycle journey across four continents and 20 countries.

Andrea Robinson from the Save Soil Movement says Sahil will be in Inverell on Monday afternoon to chat to the community at an event at the Inverell Uniting Church this Monday evening starting at 5 o’clock.

Ms Robinson says Sahil will be giving a presentation about his journey, his mission and the Save Soil Awareness campaign and is wishing to talk to young members of the community and local farmers.

She says we’re in the midst of a soil crisis and everyone needs to become aware of the problem.

Sahil will also be dropping into Bundarra this Tuesday and Uralla on Wednesday.
